But don’t let it stop there.

You should also be using your analytics to help you optimize and improve conversions on your site. Here are few reports inside Google Analytics that might help move you in the right direction.

Top Landing Pages

FIND IT HERE: On the left hand nav click “Content” and then click “Top Landing Pages”

This report shows you the pages with with most traffic. You can quickly see what pages are getting the most attention which is great but are the visitors staying after they’ve arrived? Look at the views, bounces and bounce rate. Compare those to the site average and see if certain pages need some tender loving care.

Site Overlay

FIND IT HERE: On the left hand nav click “Content” and then click “Site Overlay”

The site overlay can quickly become your best friend. If you’re having trouble trying to figure out why a landing page isn’t converting well, the site overlay might show you that your visitors are doing something completely differently then you intended.

Site Search

FIND IT HERE: On the left hand nav click “Content” and then click “Site Search”

Most websites have those trusty search boxes to make life easier for their visitors but did you forget to track and use that vital information. Lucky for you Google Analytics has made it easy for you to track what your users are searching for on your site with Site Search. Use those keywords they are searching to your advantage.

Overall, there are plenty of reports inside Google Analytics that I could go over but I chose these ones because they are simple and get to the point. I hope that some of the reports are new to you and you find them useful.

What reports do you love from Google Analytics? C’mon you know you want to share them.
